HEED THE WORKERS' CALL!

Private sector workers of the labor federation Kilusang Mayo Uno pressure senators to pass a legislated P125 across the board wage increase. The bill, sponsored by illegaly detained Anakpawis Rep. Crispin Beltran, was recalled by the House of Representatives after employers opposed the measure.

With the adjournment of the 13th Congress, workers would have to wait and struggle anew.

Government employees also urge congressmen to grant them a legislated P3,000 across the board salary increase. Malacanang recently announced a 10% salary increase, which the Confederation for Unity, Recognition, and Advancement of Government Employees says is not enough to cover their daily subsistence.
